Default F4i tank without holes for air ducts?

has anybody seen these on ebay? they claim it's for an F4i but it does't have cut outs for the air ducts. also there is another hole about half the size of the fuel pump hole towards the front of the tank. does anyone know if this will fit? i have a 2001 F4i streetfighter and want a tank without those air duct holes. any info would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

p.s. here is a link to one of the ads. there's a few different ads and they all say that they're off an F4i.

The tank doesn't have holes for the air ducts. They go from the front cowl to the air box which is located under the tank. You can probably get 4 of the universal fit K&N filters so that you can eliminate the airbox and ducts, but this won't really change the look of the bike unless you modify the front cowl and the air duct covers.

It's tough to see from that angle whether the tank is shaped correctly. Even though the tank doesn't have holes, it does curve some where the tank sits on the airbox near the front of the tank. They seem to have posted every angle except that one. Maybe ask them for a pic?

Caveat Emptor. I've seen more than a few tanks mis-identified by their sellers on eb*y.

I didn't even look at the tank, but now that I have, I agree that it doesn't look much like an F4i tank. I would be reasonably certain it is not, the front bit is not thin and long enough.

yeah, but the tank has big sections removed for those air ducts. anyways, thanks for all the fast replies. yeah, i originally thought they had it miss I.D.ed but then i found like 4 more of the exact tank all saying that they where F4i tanks so then i didn't know. i'm just wondering if anybody is familiar with this tank. thanks again.

Just body mod it to make it look the way you want. Fiberglass and bondo goes a long way.

It's NOT a tank for the F4i. You can clearly see that it's missing the holes for the bolts and those rubber nuts where the ram covers attach.

It's not even for the F4. Maybe the F3.

See on the top side?
The other big tell is that the F4i only has one big bottom hole for the pump...

thanks guys. i got my answer. it's not an f4i tank but maybe one of you would know of another tank that solves my problem. i tried the 954 tank but it doesn't clear the air box and there is a whole thing with the rear mounting point. i kinda wanna keep the air box as they're specially engineered for max performance. at least i'm told.
