I have a 2002 CBR F4i. When I first start it up for the day, it fires up but then the rpms decrease and then it conks out if I don't sit there on the throttle to keep it running. When it warms up, there are not issues at all. Just put new in new plugs in March. Any help would be appreciated.

 

have u tried adjusting your idle or anything?

 

Yeah, It's not an Idle issue. That was my first thought too, but then when the bike warmed up, it idled at 2200 rpms.

Thanks. I know the rpms should be 1400, I was just saying that when I turned up the rpms, as soon as the bike warmed up my resting rpms were at 2200.

 

did you check the eng. temp sensor for the ECM?
thats where the ECM know what to idle the Motor at.
