F4i with race rails
wow two examples of the aluminum not causing catastrophic problems, i'm so impressed
your right it does grind down but its not as soft and predictable as delrin and has no advantage, so why do they sell them? Because squids and posers love aluminum sliders
delrin is the best material for sliders, grinds down just right so that its not too hard for slow speed crashes but not too soft for high speed slides. Aluminum is too hard, there is no reason for it other than looks, I go for function over form

all sliders are "designed" to slide...but as woody stated, choice of material is way key as far as design...and aluminum just doesn't cut it.
slide on nice smooth asphalt you may be ok...slide on not so prime asphalt and it will flip the bike. derlin is just a much better choice by far!
Can anyone tell me if you have to cut fairings on a cbr 600f4i 2006, mine is brand new and I don't want to cut my new frames but really want protection, I cannot find the no cut sliders anywhere and dont want a full heavy cage....
