this is hilarious, same exact problem is happening to my bike.

It rained on my bike a few days before i started having problems, i wonder if thats the problem.

I cant seem to find it either. I had the same exact melting problem and everything with the subharness.

so far so good. Mine is still running fine. I went through all of my harnesses and everything seemed just fine. Its been a little over a week and i have rode it every day. It was the fuse under the seat near the battery in the little fuse box. there is like 7 or 8 of em i think. All you guys I would definately check the headlight relay also if ur problems consist. maybe buy a new one and if it doesn't fix the problem then just take it back.

i had a similar problem where the plug that leads to the headlights one of the wires came out of the harness from making right turns. there was absolutely no slack. the wire that came out has something to do with the bike staying running. if the wire was connected the bike wouldn't start or if it was running it would die. so that was my problem. wire came out of the harness.

soooo the headlight relay fixed my problem...

I installed new upper sub-harness and headlight relay at the same time and she fired right up.

so if your having any of the following problems that is defenetely worth checking out.

All the dummy lights come on, including the turn signals. (no flashing)
No headlights at all. (I understand no headlights and the bike wont turn on also)
Turn signals come on.
no fuel pump prim when turned to on position
When i hold the break and illuminate the dash and rear break, the bike wont fire up, only turns over.
There are no bad fuses
