Default F4i newbie help

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the Cbr600s pic in here:-
https://cbrforum.com/forum/new-membe...-owner-148258/

I've got a few questions that I'm hoping someone can help with.

I seem to have a sticky downshift now and again, when I approach a set of lights and try to select 1st I get nothing as if it is jammed in the gear I'm in(3rd at the time). I had to turn the bike off and on again in order to select first. Any ideas?

My generator/alternator cover also has signs of wear, this normal? Anyone know the name or code for the gold paint so I can redo it.

Cheers
Jay

There isn't a code that I'm aware of for the colors that are on engine components. It doesn't really match anything else other than the other side of the bike so just get something that is close. Or, for less than $60 you can just get a new one from Honda.

Perform all gear shifting before the bike comes to a complete stop..

I don't know what caused the pitting but it doesn't look too bad from the pics. When I went down on my bike the stator cover got it much worse and I just touched it up with some gold touch up paint. It's not a perfect match but it makes it less noticeable. The shifting should get better as you ride it more, mine seemed to get better after a couple oil changes when I first got my bike.
