Hi,

Ive just bought myself a 2002 Honda CBR FSport. So far ive covered around 200miles and I'm loving it, this is my first 600.

Here's me and my bike:-

I have a few questions if people can help me out. My generator cover is pitted, is this usual?

Today when I came up to a set of lights the bike would change down to first, or any gear it was like it was stuck in 3rd. I had to switch it off and back again to get it in first, any ideas?

Welcome to the forum! Lot's of knowledgeable and friendly people here, so don't hesitate to ask. From your picture, your bike really looks like it's in very good condition, what type of mileage? Where are you located?

Sorry, can't help with your gear issue other than suggesting that you make sure the clutch cable and all pivots are lubricated and move freely.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Will check the cable and lib all the pivot ponts when I get a chance, weather has turned bad here

I'm the 3rd owner and I've just ticked over 10,800 today. I'm from Cheshire in England. I'm after a akrapovic carbon stubby exhaust aswell to finish it off.

Welcome to the CBR Forum Jay,

And thanks for posting the picture. It looks a good solid bike.

The guys in the 600 section should be able to help you with the sticky downshift problem.

Cheers, SB

Thanks guys,

There is a few little things I need to do to get it looking mint.

A correction detail remove the swirls and a good nano sealant to follow.

New crankcase cover, new drivers side wing mirror as I scratched it on the wall of the garage.
