Default f4i handlebars

why are the handle bars so close together on the f4i compared to other bikes?
I was riding a zx6rr and they were further apart.

I have no idea but I ended up moving mine to be more comfortable... There is a little tab that keeps them in place... i just cut that tab and moved them out a little bit...you will need tokeep checking to make sure you can still lock them though...

Thats because they mount on top of the triple clamp instead of underneath it like most bikes you may have seen

I tried moving them but they only move about 1/8 to1/4 of an inch?
Am I doing something wrong?
I would like them to be further apartfrom each other orcloser to the winscreen

you have to cut that tab... look at the very front (closest to the windscreen) of the clipon and you will see a tab that keeps them in place... once that is removed, you will be able to move them as far out as you like... just make sure you can still can use your steering lock...

Lets call them clip-ons.

I think the spacing is pretty standard for this class of motorcycle.
