F4i handle bars touches windshield help!
So im not sure wut tht box is called on the right side of the handlebars. Right next to the front brakes. Everytime i turn all the way right it touches a little bit of the fairing and the windshield. the bike was dropped once on the right side. does anyone have a clue?

If the bike was ever in an accident that might have affected the front end, it's possible the front fairing stay was bent backwards. Happened to me on my first decent spill - the right clip on would run into the fairing stay.
If you just had a minor spill on the right side, the clip on probably just got turned (or worst case, bent) slightly. Try adjusting its position where it clamps to the fork (loosen, rotate, tighten). If the problem is solved, hurray!

I bought my f4i wrecked and I noticed it had the same issue when riding. What I did was attempt to bend the fairing stay so it wouldnt hit but that wasn't fixing it. So what I did was add some washers on the bottom bolts of it to "space" it out a little. Gives the windshield a slightly more upright angle. You cant tell any difference at all and doesnt affect appearance or riding so it solved my problem. Just play around with it and find something that works for you. I didnt feel like replacing the fairing stay lol.

Before you go hammering on the upper fairing stay help yourself out by doing this:
Remove the front fairing, disconnect and remove the headlight, remove the gauge. And that should pretty much leave you staring at your upper stay. Now point your front wheel straight and observe if your upper fairing looks like its bent to one direction or if it looks uneven. If it seems to be bent towards a particular direction, usually the bracket that holds it may just be bent towards that direction. An easy fix, is now removing the upper fairing stay, and all that is left now is that fairing stay bracket. With a mallet hammer, bang the bracket back into position. Since you are eye-balling it, there is some trial and error involved. But once it seems straight put back on the fairings stay and move your handlebars back and forth and see if they hit, if they do...you now know what direction you need to hit from, with some time and patience, you'll find that sweet spot where the bars no longer hit your upper stay.
Hope this works out for you...
