F4i engine replacement
Hi,
How difficult is it to remove and replace an F4i engine...
I understand that it is a stressed member of the bike and therefore the swingarm must come off at the same time, how would you support the frame and engine with the swingarm off?
I found a tutorial on here for the F4 engine removal however it was missing the second half. Anyone have a link to the complete thing?
Cheers guys.

I used a 3 ton engine crane & straps to hold the frame up. The bike was on stands initially as well but like you said, swing arm has to come off because the pivot bolt goes through a spot on the transmission.
You need 2 special sockets which are a bit of a pain. You can make your own, or order them:

I just bought a set. I also got the steering stem nut socket from him as well (I paid $100 for all 3, very nicely made and worked like a charm.)

You could stack wood under it? Make like a couple supports for it? Plus, since the engine is bolted into the frame, you have to support one or the other, and unless you have an engine jack, I'd support the engine. Basically so when you take out the last few screws, the frame will "fall" away from the engine.
