Take it to the track - you'll have knee down in a couple of days.
Just remember - the goal isn't to get the knee down or to go faster - the goal is to get to be a better, more consistent, and smoother rider. If you work on being that - you'll also go faster.
I can assure you that my laps at 2:10 felt no slower than the laps I'm making at 1:22. It feels as in control and safe as the end of day 1... in fact it probably feels even more in control now. It does not feel ragged, risky, or out of control at all!

I'm with you on that woot. Next year I'm hoping to attend a track day at High Plains Raceway. Although it's gonna cost $$$, and I promised to buy the Mrs. a bike in 2010 (obligations) before considering going to the track. But there's no hurry...
