Default is the f4i it?

is the f4i it? i'm looking for a do everything bike. one thats fun around town and can sport tour as well. how does it handle the freeway at 75-85 mph? is the in-line 4 an inherently "buzzy" engine? i plan some long trips with the bike here in the south come spring. i currently own the v-twin 650 v-strom. it's a good all-around bike, but dosn't give me the grin factor i'm looking for. i've never owned or even ridden an in-line 4 so any info would be greatly appreciated.

HELL YEAH!!!!!!!! a month ago i did a 600 mile ride thru oklahoma up and around the talimena trail which end up in arkansas
and back to D/FW. the F4i gives you a little more upright sitting posistion(bars on top of tree as opposed to under like the RR)
75 or 85......come on man, this machine loves the upper part of the rpm band...but, ride responsibly PLEASE
DO NOT let the lack of a RR decal fool you this bike is plenty fast ( i had mine to 160 and got off it cause it scared the **** out of me..
stll had throttle left and mine is stock..except for exhaust) and it will save you insurance dollars because it is NOT an RR...

RIDE SAFE!!!!!!!!!

GREAT BIKE !!!! Bars are up higher than most sportbikes, Very fast, handles like a dream, and priced right. Hondas not going to make them any longer. So If you want a new one you can get a deal on a new 06. $7-8k. Bars buzz a little at times but not bad. Ya gotta git one !

thanks for the replys. southern-honda has the 06 f4i listed for below 7000 bucks and here in florida southern powersports has them listed for 7300. i'll trade the strom in(rape!) or sell it(takes too long). either way i get a great bike. it's probaly just me but i like the looks of the f4i even better than the 600rr. Blasphemy!

the banana seat felt ok at the stealership.... of course you cant tell much about a bike just sitting on it... i took my brother's dr650 from st.pete to tenn.... my *** still hurts just thinking about it.... before we left i sat on it to see if it was ok.... my brother goes 'whadda ya' think?" i said "not bad, i think it'll do." well by the time we got to tenn my *** was ready to kick my ***.

speaking of the dr650 it was a fun bike...thumper...decent torque-light bike...and with the right can it made enough noise to keep most of the half-asleep geezers here in fla. semi-conscious while behind the wheel.
