Default F1 light on cluster

I just replaced the motor in my 02 f4i 600 and the red f1 light is on the cluster. Does anyone know what that means?

There is a way to pull the code. Get a copy of the manual and it will tell you how. Once you do it the FI light will flash a certain amount of times then the manual will tell you what that means and that should point you in the right direction.

Ok thanks. I have a connector that is not connected and I think it is the map sensor but I can't find it anywhere. I'm going to pull the tank again and try and look again for it.

im currently fondeling with the map sensor on my bike...
it is located on the LHS of the bike fixed to the bottom of the airbox. to remove it you have to remove the air box... (yea i know stupid design..)
be sure to check your vac lines to the sensor as well as mine was cloged with **** and caused to make the bike run rich.

hope that helps
