Im not going to talk sh*t to you about what you want to do with your bike, although I usually do when I see a stretched 600 on the road.

Lowering and stretching is too me just a looks thing. Lowering does help out those who are short and lightweight to be able to stabilze a bike at stops.

Stretching the swingarm is going to hurt your cornering somethin' fierce.

It's your bike, have fun.

If you lower and stretch your bike, you will actually decrease your lean angle, and mess up your handling. If you're going to drag race, and/or just want to look cool then go ahead. If you like to play in the turns, occasional wheelie, leave it stock.

all i'm saying isi'm use to a longer wheelbase. the stock wheelbaseisn't as responsive to me as the extended one was. center of gravity is gonna be different for a taller rider than a short one. it's not like i'm stretching this thing far. from 3 1/2 to 4 in at most .i was just asking was it necessary to lower a bike if you extend it a little and i figured u guys would know

I'm telling your thinking is wrong. The shorter the wheelbase the quickier it is to turn in regardless of the riders size. Now just a .5" isnt gonna do much. I roughly got that much added when I install a 600RR SA on my F4 and I cant tell the difference at all. But no you wouldnt need to lower it any. If the bike bike isnt responsding as quick as the bigger bike you are use to riding then its you the rider not the bike.
