I would rather have a jacket with them built in.. Seems like a jacket would slide better on the pavement. I do wear an icon vest when i am stunting and its terribly hot out.. I am guilty of just only wearing that some times on the street. Always keep my fingers crossed that it wasn't my day to go down =)....

I know I preach and come across as a gear natzi alot esp thru font, but I know we all or most all of us may not 'always' wear 'all' our gear for whatever situation, and yes even me lol. But what my point always is is to inform the ones that have been mislead, misguided, lied too, and overall misinformed about gear in general and about diff types of gear. Now when we have all the facts, know whats good gear n whats not, then the risk assessment is on the individual
