Default EMGO mirrors

Hey everyone. I had to replace a mirror on my bike and picked up an EMGO mirror set off eBay. Has anyone used this brand of mirror before. The reason I'm asking is because the bolt that attatches the mirror to the base won't seem to turn and I can't twist the mirror back or forward to adjust my view. I've attatched a picture so you can understand what I'm saying better.

Thanks guys.

You can't loosen it up with an allen wrench?

Nope. I've tried that. I had it mounted on the bike and tried to losen it with the allen key but I took it off cause I didn't wana twist or break the fairing from turning so hard. Can't get it when its off the bike either. I even tried soaking it with liquid wrench for a while and that didn't even help.

I don't know if it has some sort of locktite on there or what but its a real PITA.

Heat, Heat it up, stick and allen wrench in there, and use a pair of vice grips.

I bought mirrors off ebay not long ago and when I got them it was right next to impossible to turn the damn thing. I had to do the above method ^

I have found that to be true on the set I have. Luckily, it is where I would want it anyhow.

it probably was assembled before paint was dry and paint got on threads, like loc-tite. Try heat and tappin on wrench to break it loose.

Anyways thanks guys.

try and lock it down somewhere like a vise grip or bolt it to a wood block and then try and turn it.

I'm guessing torching it tonight will help.

I didn't have the experience that you guys had with your EMGO mirrors. Perhaps they're knock offs? I did buy another set of OEM replacements that were a PITA, I'm willing to bet they were knock offs.
