Ebay Mirrors
Anyone have either of these ebay mirror sets on their F4i? I'm curious how they look and if anyone has pics with them on the bike? Either way they are pretty cheap.

have a similar one, it looks good but the visibility isnt that great from the stock once, I hade to get mirros when I bought the bike it had none. you can adjust still gotta look over your shoulder to make sure .
those are cheap univeral mount mirrors (look like shyt IMHO). You will prolly have to drill holes to mount em. They have CF look stock mirrors on ebay too. Or ones that convert to a swivel stalk that mount to the exsisting mirror mounts.
I bought a pair of these exact ones for my 04 F4i. They are cheap but you may not notice too much from the stock ones.
Here's what I found:
1. There has been talk of cheap "flat glass" mirrors that don't reflect the right image so I compared these with my stock ones. I didn't see any difference between these cheap ones and my oem mirrors. I went out into the street with the cheap one in my right hand and the oem ones in my left and looked at what was behind me all the way down the street. No difference in image quality or quantity.
2. The mounting is similar but larger than stock and didn't fit really well. I actually took the cheap one apart and mounted the stalk to my oem swivel mount by sanding the sides a bit. I chose to make it look like the stock ones by discarding the cheap rubber cover andsanding the stalk (where it mounts to the oemmount) down a bit (can't see the sanding).
3. The wires leading to the turn signals will fit right through a little slot in the oem mount and just needs a hole drilled under the mount and out of sight. Then the wires need a channel cut into the fairing support (the upper fairing goes over this and the mirror is boltedon top) for the wires to go. If youchoose to you can just drilla holefor the wires all the way through the fairing and the support but then you'dsee the wires comingall the way through and also see them while you're riding. I like to keepmods clean.
4. If you use the integrated turn signal mirrors then it only has two wires and won't act as riding lights, just turn signals.
I haven't got it all the way hooked up yet but that is my experience so far.
