Default NOOOOOO!!!!

Something really really stupid happened today.
I just installed my CompetitionWerkes fender eliminator kit.
This kit also relocates the lock.
I was kinda worried that the wire might break loose, so before I put the seat on, I turned the key in there about a hundred times to make sure it would stay put. No problem at all.

Today after I rolled to my friend's place, I turned the key in there and heard a "click" sound. After that, turning the key does nothing.
ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!

I'm so pissed right now, I don't wanna think about it tonight (on my birthday of all days).
Maybe when I wake up tomorrow I can figure out how to solve this problem.

Relax, y0![8D]

Remove (2) 10mm bolts, pop the front seat off, reach back in there with your hand (hopefully you don't have huge hands), and pop the rear seat open.... problem solved

Now go relax and enjoy your b-day... it ain't no big thang

Ohhh I C... hmmm... well then

Probably just gonna have to take all the tail fairing bolts out, and try see if you can pull the seat back far enough to get the 2 philips head screws out from up top and try and move it around enough to get a hand in there to unlock it

Or if the undertail bolts from the outside, just take it off and the lock will be right there

I did what Jared said. I have some meaty fingers so I just stuck some needle nose in there and snapped it right in. No Sweat! Happy Brithday

Same thing happened to me and my 'naner seat. Like the guys are saying, take off the grab bar, and use needlenose pliers or a screwdriver to get in there. I actually popped the seat off again, and made sure everything was locked in tight and secure.

push one of the rear lights in (if you can) and you will have enough space to get there is pop it open.

Thanks for the advice. I took off the grab bar pulled the rear fairing back a little bit and was able to grab the wire "cover" with some needle nose pliers to take the seat off. Phew.
This time I zip-tied the little plastic end of the wire cover onto it's mounting piece real tight, so I'm pretty sure I won't have this problem again..
