IMO too bulky and prolly sounds like a riced out import due to the smaller cans and piping

ahh...thats what i thought at first as well, a little concerned about the sound, but i found a good clip of the "shotgun exhaust" on youtube.
doesent sound bad at all, i might say it even sounds a little deeper and lower than the OEM and a few of single aftermarket slip-ons out there.

If engines like back pressure, why do we put bigger exhausts on our cars and trucks to make more power?

Back pressure is the most perpetuated old wive's tale I've ever heard. Go do some reading before you ever mention back pressure again.

take your head pipe off and don't run any exhaust
see how well your bike runs without any backpressure

You are right in a perfect world where we have 100% control over the tuning of our engine and we only need high rpm power back pressure is the devil. However, many of us run a stock ECU and low end torque is always essential.

There is always 2 options to pricing. High price/ low quantity, low price/ high quantity. Given the amount of accidents sportbike riders tend to have the latter would be more fitting. Alot of riders can't afford to replace there can after every mishap and won't. I agree R&D is expensive and material costs are up but 4-5 hundred for a dang slipon is ridiculous. Actually price the materials and you'll find theres not 50 bucks worth there.

There aren't always those two options in part manufacturing, if it was as easy as make more and we can sell more they would do it.

Take into account the machines used to make the exhaust, the cost of maintenance and operation of those machines, the cost of employing people to run and service the facility, the cost of marketing said product once it is made, etc. There are tons and tons of costs beyond just the bare metal. You will find it is often not nearly as cheap to make products, especially automotive produts, as you may think.

It would run bad because of the lack of scavaging not lack of back pressure. Headers are designed so that one cylinders exhaust pulse helps pull exhaust out of the next cylinder to fire.

They are a function of each other though. Back pressure builds pressure, which in turn increases the exhaust gas velocity, which then leads to scavenging.

I found a pretty good double-outlet exhaust.
its made by Remus.
I believe its called the Remus Viper, the problem is that i think they are made and sold only in germany, that and they only make them for kawasaki sport bikes.....gettin closer though.
