Dropped her :(
I feel your pain! I bailed off my bike a few weeks back riding in the mountains by the house. The bike was about to go off a 60' sheer drop due to some gravel so I bailed off backwards. Lucked out and hit the kill switch as I jumped off so the bike laid over to a dead stop about 2 foot from the edge! Minor scratches on the bike. Oh well at least we're still here!!!

Reading through and came across this message. I know I am late but I went for a ride today with my husband. Little nervouse starting out but started to fade the more we rode. Anyway. passed a cop and hit a red light..well the light turns green and I am turning left and bam there goes my bike in the middle of the intersection! All I could think about was my husband was going to have to pick my bike up. I am happy to say that I got the bike up in no time and was impressed with the ease I got it up. Not sure what I did wrong and that's all I have been thinking about. I'm thinking I didn't let off the clutch and roll on the throttle enough. I am so glad that my husband put the frame sliders on . No scratches to the paint just alittle scratch on my alternator.
Yeah Custom paint and a car blew the light and i dropped mine, shes she's all fixed. Almost $2000 later

I know how you feel. I was stupid enough to try to move mine in my parking spot without the right shoes on and after a tiring workout. I always hoped I wouldn't do the thing everyone says happens to everyone, but I did. She tipped over while I was backing her up. Scratched fairing the same place as yours, broken turn signal (which I was able to Crazy glue and isn't noticeable), and bent brake lever. You're lucky, doesn't look like much damage at all.
ya, as 4 me laying mine down...it was when i least expected it. have done the wheelies; solo & double, the 160+ mph days, the pouring thunderstorms, the ridin 2 ft off ur buddies back tire through the sharpest, narrowest, most winding roads; and never wiped out......until.
i pulled into the local mall like i had hundreds of times b4. i'm guessing i was doing between 20 and 30 mph, all of a sudden i was being slammed down on my left side as the bike went sliding out from under me on it's left side. my baby slid 4 more than 10 ft; coming 2 rest against a curb. as i was laying on my side all i could think about was my bike. it was in slow motion like it was sliding on ice. busted arm and glass on left mirror, scratched front, side farings. scratched & cracked rear fairing, bent clutch lever, snapped bolt by passenger seat, bent toe shifter, scratched stator cover, scratched swingarm and silver bar ends. somehow my short stem turn signals survived this destruction. i was shocked at how much damage was done 4 such slow speeds. i was so upset that this happed because there wasn't a scratch on it b4. this was definitely a lesson 4 me though that anything can happen at any given time. It SUCKS knowing this.
