Default Double checking myself....general maintenance 9k miles

Just double checking myself on the general maintenance at 9k, replacing the chain but leaving front/rear sprocket set...changing oil, new front tire...What am I forgetting?

**Edited forgotten list: Air filter.

lol You're replacing the chain at 9k? Wow Mr wheelie or drag racer? How long has it been since you've done the brake fluid? I've got 14k on my bike and I just did the brake fluid now because it's been 2 years. I put a K&N in at 14k too and just bought a cleaner kit and I think this summer I'll do the plugs as well.

So anyway, I think just do the oil and maybe check the brake fluid see what color it is. Depending on the type of climate you ride in air filter could maybe wait.

I need to check the brakes too, maybe we can put together a comprehensive list with pictures to help new riders so they care for their bike (showing brake pad wear etc., all very basic but I'm sure many don't know, or don't think!).
The way I look at it, if I baby and take care of my bike, it will take care of me and not go down.

snowboarding, more than the miles on my bike it's the time. Mine is an 03. Chain and filter could suffice, but it's the peace of mind I suppose. =)
Good lookin on the fork/brake. Will be checking that tomorrow after I get new plates, have a nice trip to Purdue Univ. planned this weekend so gotta get the bike ready for the 120 mile one way trip.

Hmmmm maybe I need to change my fork fluid? I have 15k almost and have never done that. I don't do wheelies or anything though I dunno if I should. Nor would know where to start. I'll go do a search now.
