Default Do we have cable or electronic tachs?

Well my wife got me a digital gear indicator off of a website which it described it works with most bikes with digital speedo's but after getting it it also notes digital tach. I would just tear into it and look but id rather not and have to put it back together for no reason.

It will work the plug has three wires and is near the rear of the engine. It will use the same wire as the speedo healer would.

Got it all wired up pulled the front glass off and there it was a big plug in the back of the cluster! I had no idea I could access it that easy. Anyways if anyone else wants a little guidance in wiring these in I can help. Took a few hours to locate what wires to use because the sheet that I got didn't list f4i's.
