Do I have a shady mechanic?
#12
Thanks for everyone's thoughts. I just dropped the bike off again. I tried using google and looking through my bike's manual, and couldn't find any information on the number of links on a stock '04 F4i chain with the stock 16/46 sprockets.
Someone in this thread said 108 links, does this ring true with anyone else? I wanted to know so I could tell my mechanic since he missed it last time.

Ya 108 is right. Sprocketcenter ships this particular chain in 110 unless other specified, because some similar model bikes use the 110 length. Makes sense too me since you can easily shorten a chain if your application calls for the 108, like mine does. What I just can't understand is why my mechanic wouldn't catch that fact that the chain is 2 links too long. Like someone else said, he's the possessional.
