Well back on topic, I don't remember many (if any) sections in the shop manual that specified 01-03 vs 04-06. I do know there is some difference in the wire harness and electrical system, as there are 2 schematics.

What the exact difference is I don't know however.

Not sure Xander, I know the F4i was increased to 14,200 (+700) from the F4 but I dont think that the nanna seat version was any different from the split seat.

Oh and guys, the difference between 01-03 and 04-06 is that one is comfy and one isnt :P

My split seat is plenty comfy...though it took taking my wife as a passenger on my friends 04 for her to really get comfortable as a passenger on the split.

The only things I have to add is that with the non-us versions, the banana seat bikes have or can have a center stand and the split seats don't. On the US model, the rear links are slightly different (why?!).

Also along with the silver frame/swingarm the engine covers and forks are silver on some older bikes (probably non-us)

A quick search brought this up, although I cannot verify the accuracy of it.

"Apparently 2003 onwards, in the UK - the CBR600f has the old 2001 CBR600FS motor in it! Yehar! But doesn't get the stronger clutch though.

Pre:2003
CBR600FS has stiffer rebound Springs on Valves, higher state of tune, diff top gear ratio....oh and a stronger Clutch
Ignition slight diff and air intakes.

Overal, not much in it in terms of performance on the Road."
