I have a 2007 F4i, and bought the carbon stubby end can this spring. Fitted it and it sounded awesome, but i did notice a downside.

After fitting it, the fuel injection struggled to maintain a correct fuel/air mix (the lambda sensor was fitted to the link pipe) and the bike had an unstable idle speed - it wouldnt sit in the correct rev range according to the Honda manual.

Throttle response became a bit snatchy, especially from a standing start, but was a little better once up above 30MPH. Still not as good as it used to be though.

I took it to a dynojet center, and had it run on the dyno. The results were a bit concerning - after fitting the can the bike was running too lean, dangerously so in the low rev range (0-35MPH, town riding etc)

Two options open to me were to refit the original pipe to restore the fuelling, or get a power commander fitted to fix it. Since i do enjoy the look and the sound the Delkevic can gives, (not to mention the HUGE weight saving over a stock can) i opted for the power commander.

Delkevic cans are dirt cheap on ebay anyway, so with the money i saved on the can compared to other makes, i put it towards a power commander and custom map.

Total cost for the can, the PC3 USB, multiple dyno runs to check the fuelling, and labour, came to about £600.

I cant describe how much of a benefit the PC3 has been; what a difference smoothing out the power curve, nice throttle response, more torque where it used to be lacking. Its now peaking at 103.65BHP, prior to the PC being fitted it peaked at 101.52. Not a huge increase, but noticeable where it counts!

My advice; if you want the can buy one (theyre cheap!) but dyno the bike after fitting it to check its not running lean like mine was.
