Default Delayed starting, just curious

Hey everyone, and thanks in advance! I have a 2001 F4i with about 5000 miles on it, rs3 slip on and a k&n and power commander. Sometimes when I go to start my bike, I have to hold the button a little longer than I should. Its never not started but Im just wondering what this problem could be, or what its starting to be. I just would hate to get stranded and I take a lot of pride in my bike (like i know most of you do lol ). Any suggestions or imput is greatly appreciated.

This used to happen to me, then I tighten the terminals on the battery.
