Default Decals on good paint

I would like to remove the decals on my bike. They are ugly clown decals on good white paint. My question is if I remove them with heat and wd40 would that effect the clear coat on my fairings?

I use a hair dryer to remove decals, works great and haven't have any paint/clear coat issues.

hair dryers work great, when I bought my bike there was a big ugly D&D sticker on hte swing arm and no D&D pipe... Came right off with a hair dryer and a little patience. not sure about wd40 with the paint tho.

So the decals didn't leave any stickyness behind? It all came off with heat?

yep, just heat. I do graphics on race cars and that is how I get the old graphics off, just a hair dryer. Work a small area at a time and be patient. A warm sunny day to do it is also helpfull.

+1. I helped a friend debadge and remove decals on his car three summers ago and all we used was a hair dryer and floss for the badges. Everything came off very clean in due time. Good luck!
