Default Cruizing RPM's ?

Im sure this has already been covered, but I am a newb to the site and don't completely no how to search properly. What I am wondering is what gear I should be in, and what the revs should be, when I am just cruizing through town at 25mph, cruzing at 35mph, and at 45 and so on. The reason I ask this is because this is my first bike and dont exactly know what gear to be in, and what is a comfortable rev for the motor... If anyone can understand my rant I would surely appreciate it! Thanks, Camron

If you are driving around at a normal pace, take the bike up to 4th/5th gear at 35-45mph, the revs will be lower which is better. If you need to pick up some speed fast and are still sitting at 35-45 downshift from 5th/4th to 3rd.

The redline on your bike is almost 15k so if you do the math for a car to your bike you'll see the 6k is about average to where a car would be at 2500rpm. I usually run about 6k just in case I gotta move quickly, no wastedx time down shifting. The bike is designed for it.

I usually hover around 7-9k especially in traffic. Once too many I've had close calls and revs too low to squirt away like I've wanted. It's just like the aviation motto:
There nothing more useless to a pilot than altitude above him and runway behind him.
