Default couple of problems....maybe

I posted on the new member page yesterday. I was told to come here for any more ideas. I just started to ride a street bike for about 2 weeks now.(as much if not more fun than the dirtbike) I got an 89'CBR600, so it is an old bike but I figured it would be a good one to start on. Anyway I have a couple issues that maybe someone here can help me out with. First off, I have trouble with my rear tire feeling like it is sliding to the right. Not sure if this is b/c I'm just getting back into riding and am over thinking things or if it might be a big deal??? Next, I was wondering how hard it would be to change out my throttle cables, any ideas or tips would be nice.Any good tips would be much appreciated.

In regards to the wheel sliding, make sure the tire is aligned properly.

Why do you want to change them out? It would not be a hard job not make sure the freeplay is withinspec once you put um back. If they feel tight now, you might just need some cable lube to help loosen things up.

check your tire pressure. if it's low if feels like the wheel is sliding. also if those tires are >4yrs old, change them out

If you are mechanically inclined changing throttle cables takes about a half hour, otherwise don't try it. You have to partially remove the throttle bodies (not to mention the gas tank and air box). You mentioned dirt biking, well street machines are a much bigger pain to work on in just about every way. They aren't designed to be taken apart like my good 'ol CR250
