+1 on Pilot Road, the tread pattern looks ugly but does the job. I used them on my '94 Kaw and I commute to work. Good feel, both front and rear. I'm debating now, with my new bike, when my factory tires are done what I'm I going to use. I've also read the Dunlop D220s aren't that bad either.

I run Mtz z6 on my VFR, just put Stradas on the F4i. no ride time yet, the new Pilot Road2 looks sweet with dual compound and the new BT021 too.

Pilots from what i hear are suppose to be top. It also i guess depends on the rider.

Not to hijack...what type of mileage can you expect on a road tire versus a 'sport' tire.

I've got almost 5000 on Diablo Stradas, and can barely start to see wear down the center strip of the rear. I would expect a sport tire to be nearly done by now.

Diablo Stradas are the bomb. Pilot Roads are decent but the Pirellis handle better. I've known fairly fast guys that have done track days on Stradas. I recently sold my CBR1100XX but I ran Stradas on it since I bought it and got an average of 7 to 8k miles out of a rears. By comparision I get about 2 to 3k on sportier tires on my F4 or my ZX10R.
