I have been looking for a nice condition, reasonably priced 954 for my next bike..... trouble is, in the uk at the moment they appear to be in short supply, so this got me thinking..... just how '' worse '' is the 929 compared to it for use as a daily bike ?

I know the fuelling was not as good, and i think we can all agree that the 954 would win in a beauty contest, but what else ? They do appear to be cheaper and there are more of them around.

 

Ill be honest with you and this is my opinion only... the 954 is sex, love, and life all in one I ride a 919rr and my next and last bike will be a 954..

 

Daily commute is minimal, but if you want the 954, wait for the right one to come by.

 

Good advice, but at the moment i have a cash buyer for my current bike who wants it very soon..... choices indeed.

 

they are, in alot of ways the same bike. same block size, just the 954 has beefier internals. they go back and forth when it comes to things like handling and suspension, lighting, and ergonomics. according to reviews, the 929 (to date) has the best power weight ratio. but im sure we all agree when i say the 954 is easier on the eyes. i went from a '06 636 to my current 929 and im suprised that they weight just about the same. im comfortable on it and it has plenty of power where need be. it has a 954 front end and cam on it... so i guess im technically somewhere in the middle. **IMO** they are soo close that it would come down to looks. get the 954 cuz it looks better, but i think the 929 is more reliable.
