Default Comfort?

When I'm riding on the interstate at high speeds and tuck down behind the windscreen, my elbows touch my knees. As my screen name indicates, I am neither young nor skinny. I'm not really old or fat, but I am 6 feet tall and 215 lbs. Seems like I see a lot of guys posting that they are 155 lbs or so. I haven't been that weight in quite a long time. lol

Did I just get a bike too small for me?

i have the same problem. my elbows touch my knees when i duck down too. i am 6 foot tall and about 175lbs. my dad likes to ride my 01 F4i and he is about 6'2" and about 275lbs. he says that the bike still makes him slide back in the seat when he hits the throtle full force, so i dont think you should be having any problems LOL

Should I be asking the question, did I get a bike that was too big for me b/c I'm 5'2"? It's what you felt would be good and comfortable to you. Try a different position. Move your heiny back more on the seat.

I have no problem with the power in upper RPM's, that is fine. And moving my butt back further doesn't help much, other than giving my upper torso a bit more room... moving my butt back actually brings my knees up more.

I'v actually tried riding with my feet on the rear pegs. Not the best idea, but I was trying anything I could think of.

Fortuantely I try not to ride on the interstate too much, but sometimes I have to in order to get to some good twisties.

You could try aftermarket rearsets. Most of them move the pegs back and up an inch or so. From what I've read people say taller riders feel more comfortable.

hymmmm...u make me feel fat. Im 5'11 n i'm around 205 - 210 lbs. But i feel more comfortable when i do tuck my arms n they touch my knees. I can feel the air move more smoothly around me. Creates more aero-dynamic i na way for me. So the bike is def not too small for you, and if you really don't wanna tuck ur elbows to ur knees, just slow down, thats what i do. I usually don't tuck unless i'm going over 95.
