clock question

Default clock question

just got a cbr600 f4i. it runs great and starts on the button. but twice now when i have started the bike, once when i stalled it the other when i didnt let it finish it s self check, the clock and trip meter reset to 0. doesnt happen when i start it normally just these 2 occasins. the battery has normal voltage but i think it is the standard one ( 4 years old). any ideas please?

even though the voltage is OK on the battery, it might not have the amperage to run everything, or the voltage will drop enough to shut down the clock and milage display when its cranking.

4 years is decent out of a battery, its probably about time for a new one though.

I just bought a new battery paid like $115 for it.......but newayz I would throw a new battery in there dev is right it might not have enough power and resets it when cranking, also clean your terminal connections on your battery that could be a problem.....and it goes without saying with any electrical problem check all connections

it was the battery, cheers. wasnt hold much charge, just enough to start the bike. i rode 1 1/2 miles to refuel, and the bike wont start. i brought a new nattery a hay presto, all fine.
