Wise choice under the circumstances. Looks is great but safety and being seen is a must! Hect, I still have the ugly stock blinkers on my bike for that same reason!

It you can not see it during the day. I would definately get rid of it. Safety is number 1. Also, I am sure that you plans the next day that who wants to be at the hospital.

I'm confused...some people have said that it's actaully brighter than the stock taillight. Can someone clear this up for me? I was going to install mine this weekend but now I'm having second thoughts.

Leds brigthen up when there's more voltage to them. If everyone is ok with it and says its actualy brighter than stock, maybe you have a bad wire somewhere. Make sure you using sufficient guage wire. If there's not enough current/voltage to them, they will seem dim. But of course its still up to your discretion

the taillight is brighter but the brake light is not

Everyone is always really impressed with my clear alternatives. Saying they want that brand because mine is so bright. I have the integrated blinkers and nobody ever has a problem seeing them behind me if there's a bunch of us riding anyways. Good Luck!!!
