Default chugging f4i

I told my one of my friends to email me the descriptions of his problem:

When driving at a steady speed whether it be at 25 or 65 the bike seems like it is chugging or missing. I thought. That it could be dirty injectors so I put some fuel injector in that seemed to help for a little bit but then the problem came back. Also now when I start the bike and let it warm up sometimes it just shuts off,and when I was riding down the roadand it was chugging I noticed the lights diming then the FI light came on and the bike shut off.

TIA

Could be anything... from a bad electrical connection, clogged injectors, or vapor lock

Do you ride a f4? this is an f4i

I don't see how battery connection would come into affect at a steady speed?

When he called the stealership they suggested the clutch is slipping and it didnt have its 4k check up. he got it with about 5200miles on it so who knows? That doesn't explain the other problems. Oh well I guess he just going to have to pay $200 just to have it plugged into a machine

Why not? If the FI light comes on during riding that is the most common cause. If the cable is loose and constantly connecting and disonecting, it will make the bike act up in a very bad way. It doesnt matter what speed your going, if you hit just a little bump it will act up.

That makes sense but only cutting out when your driving steady... that's what I don't really get. But who know's... I guess we'll find out tomorrow.
