Chubby riders
I have always seemed to be defending my choice to ride a 600cc bike. I'm 180 lbs and over 6 foot, but I don't feel that my 2002 600F4i is struggling to pull my fat *** around. My Harley friend thinks my little 600cc is a "starter" bike and that a stock Hog would out run me in the 1/4 mile. I'm okay with his lack of knowledge about 600cc sportbikes, but recently I overheard another sportbike rider talking about his bike that confuses me. He was barely 150 lbs and maybe 5' 6" tall. And all he did was talk about how a 600cc bike was too weak and he needed a 1000cc bike. Was he just a bragging jackass? Or is everybody on this forum under 150 lbs?
i can't imagine how 11.5 seconds in quarter mile can be "weak". 1000cc does have more torque, but that's a real lot of torque. not just stronger than "weak"
i don't know if you have such word like "squid" for such guys. in ukraine, we have

I weigh 180 - 190, 6' tall n My 600 hauls me around just fine. People who say they need a 1000 to haul their fat asses are making excuses, they just want the extra useless power, thats it.
And the HD guys are just dreaming n hatin. I doubt a streetable built Vtwin will outrun even my 00 stock 00 F4 much less any current 600's in the 1/4, the 1/8 maaaaayyyyybeeeee.
Two up my F4i feels fast once it gets in the powerband.
I have never had anyone except a Victory salesman ever even say that a 600cc sportbike was slow.
Tell that 8th grader to shut the f**k up. I take sh*ts bigger than 150 lbs.

Harley friend = douchebag. The other sportbike rider must be ready for Moto GP if a 600cc sportbike is "too weak". I winder if he is able to ride it up to 95% of it's capability. That always makes me laugh.

Like the other guys said the harley rider is completely dreaming. I'm 6'4" 220 lbs, and my F4i has no problem pulling me around. Hell it even does good with me and my girlfriend on it. One of my best friends started out on an F4i and now rides nothing other than R1's. He rode my bike the other day and says he kinda misses his old bike. He says he doesn't need the 1000 he just likes the power. He's one of the best riders I know and even he'll tell you that he's only riding the bike to about 80% of it's potential. All I can tell you is ride what you like. Make it look like you want it to and ride it how you want to ride it. Don't listen to other people it's your bike. Be safe and have fun.
dude.. im a fat ****.. 6' 0 220lbs and my 04600rr would "pull" my lard *** around faster than i desired.
granted i raced dirt track, and **** when i was little in oklahoma.. knowing how to ride properly allows you to use all of its abilities. which harley riders do not.
cant wait to burn lard on my 08 600rr
