chrome wheels?

Default chrome wheels?

has anyone here done the chrome wheel exchange? i have a poloshed lip but was thinking of going chrome. just want to know if its difficult to get all the stuff off the factory wheels and if it was worth it?

I havent done the wheel exchange but I almost did until I found a set of chrome rims and swingarm in near perfect condition for way cheaper on ebay.

As far as taking the wheel apart it is all pretty much easy except for the bearings. you will need the special bearing tool to remove it. I just took my new rims to the shop and had them take everything from the old rims and put them on the new rims. Then I did the swingram change my self and i put the wheels on and off my self since I had the bike apart doing other work to it.

Its not that hard to take the wheels off though.

dont do the online exchange bullcrap. just find a bike shop close to you and bring them your wheels. Most places will swap your tires and bearings (id prefer buying new ones) to the new set of chromies. usually runs you about 450 depending on the shop but most should swap for free. if not, just ask them!
