RE: Chicken Strips???
No feelers on my f4... these tires have been to the edge (super corsas) a few times I've got some dragged body work too...
Just note that different tires have different profiles. If you make it to the edge of a rounder profiled tire then you will most certainly be dragging hard parts... if you have a flatter profile tire then maybe at the edge of the tire you'd still have ground clearance.

if your bike was lowerd would it be harder or easier to hit the feelers? because mine has been lowered (before i got the bike) and i have very minimal chicken stripps prolly 1/4 inch or less but ive never hit the feelers (pilot powers). j/c. im going to be raising it up soon just havent had time to before then and im 6'2 so i really dont need the bike lowerd

RE: Chicken Strips???
lowered bike decreases the amount you can lean before you start scraping parts...so you'll hit the feelers earlier.
IMO...get rid of the peg feelers all together and use your knee to judge lean angles.
also, if your suspension is too soft, it will not only make you exit wide coming out of turns, but you will also be able to lean the bike over less as when it compresses, as it does in turns, you lose clearance...so set it up nice and right for the track.

RE: Chicken Strips???
Having ridden only on the street, and even then on non-perfect pavement, I have about 1/2 inch on my Viper Sports.
Alot of lean angle, meaning no strips and scraping your knees, really can only be done on the track, where the surface and grip are perfect.
There are a few sections of street I have found near where I live that would probably give enough grip to get rid of the 1/2 inch I have left.
But they are straightaways.
I guess I could make some really fast u-turns....lol...but that's ridiculous.
The pics you see of bikes leaned way..way over...rider's knee scraping the pavement have as much to do with the road surface as anything.
In other words, it's not worth getting that last 1/4 to 1/2 inch off your tires if the tire and track/road surface are not right.
