Those directions SUCK.

I don't have mine yet, and I've never taken the rear off my bike yet.
But looking at the picture on the PDF on where to cut, it looks like just 2 cuts on one piece...right?

Nevermind. I'll just wait til I get it and take my time with it.

 

so, i accidentally used too coarse of sand paper to begin with so now i have dumb scratches all over it - anybody have any suggestions on how to get rid of these scratches? I'm thinking about just ignoring them and slapping it on the bike because it's been way too long since I've gotten this project done...

Will primer + primer + primer get me back to a state where I can sand it more carefully with finer grit paper and a softer hand?

 

Get some sandable primer, it should fill in most of the scratches. Then go back over it with 320-400 and primer again.

 

I got mine primed and all the holes drilled hopefull it will be painted this weekend. I will post pic once is is done. Going factory red.Did you guys cut the factory wiring harness and use the blue wire connectors that came with the kit, or use some other way to wire the lights?

 

does any have a copy of the install intructions that they could send me?

 

Court - the previous owner wired the old LED undertail using the factory plugs, so I cut those off and used them.

 

What did you do with your old undertail?

 

Removed it and set it somewhere in the garage.
