Default Changing a Rear Shock Spring?

I would like to make my rear suspension more rigid and I notice that Race Tech makes a coil for the F4i. I was wondering if anyone had attempted to change a shock spring. I'm looking for some info before I purchase the coil. I've never had it off the bike and need to kinow if there are any special tools needed to dissassemble the shock itself. I can't see the shock too well as its mounted.

Easy to remove. But you'd need a spring compressor to install. Recommend that you have the valving done. Some folks have claimed success with the stock F4i shock.
