changing fairings!!

Exclamation changing fairings!!

hey i bought new fairings off ebay for my 02 cbr600 f4i, any tips or hints before i change them? i have mild experience in mechanics and would like to know if this is something i could do without any proffessional help

If you have an owners or service manual, they show step by step intructions on how you do it.
I changed mine over in about an hour and a half with no problems.
If they are chinese fairings then have a drill and sand paper/file ready to fix any holes or tabs that need cleaning up.
If they don't have wellnuts I would get all new ones for the fairings as it easier then trying to re-stretch the old ones to get them to fit.

I just did this yesterday, got mine from CBRfairings.com but I don't think they exist anymore. Took me 5 hours really taking my time with intermittent help on and off. The nose fairing was probably the biggest pain, but that's the only fairing I had never removed before so it was new to me. My old one was broken and basically fell apart when I removed it earlier this winter. But other than that no it's not a difficult job.
