Chain turning white
I recently bought some chain lube at Wal-mart, don't remember the brand off the top of my head. I grabbed some Wd-40 and a tooth brush and gave the chain a good scrub. Then I sprayed on the chain lube and itcoated my chain white. The white comes off when I brush it so I'm not concerned about it hurthing my chain, just that it looks like poop. But is this normal? Is there any chain lube that anyone can recommend for me to use?

RE: Chain turning white
I use chain wax on my bikes. I heard though that the propellant in WD40 eats away at the rubber in the O-Rings. I have a gallon of it that I use with a pump spray bottle to clean the bike. Plus, it is cheaper if you buy it that way. Kerosene I hear is best to use for cleaning chains, I dont know if there are any performance differences.
