Default Chain

which one of these RK chains are the best? : 520XSO, GB520XSO, 520GXW or GB520GXW

what is the naming convention RK uses, like is the GB in front the better line or are they all the same?

also, i believe these chains are for a -1/0 conversion, what size of chain would i need if i have a -1/+2 conversion?

why RK?

i suggest trying DID...

they're not a very well known company and their chains haven't been tried or tested or anything.

youre kidding right? I heard about RK 20+ years ago lol

RK chains are good stuff, not proced bad either. DiD is about the best there is tho. And on the naming, I think thats O-ring, x-ring, and gold but not sure at all about it lol.

I put an RK on my bike with a 520 conversion -1 in the front, and I have had it over a year now. I have had no problems, just regular maintenance, lubing and adjusting any slack as time goes on. The 520 is lighter, the 525 is stock and the 530 is designed for bikes with bigger engines.

If your changing the chain size then yes ~ obviously. But if not, then it is not necessary although recommended, depending on sproket condition.

you generally want to change both sprockets and the chain all together
if there's any wear on any reused parts it'll cause your new chain or sprockets to wear prematurely
