Default Center Stand Conundrum

Was thinking of putting a center stand on my 2005 F4i, it has a Micron after market slip on can so not sure if it fit, I hear it can be done as the fittings are there, anybody any experience on this?

Looks very similar to my F2 and the Micron can was not a problem.

Thanks schematics look good, handy cheers. Looking at some other threads it seems it can depend on model and Can type, I may just have to get my hands on one and try it.

I've fitted a center stand on my 06 CBR F4i.

Center stand makes chain/tire maintenance much easier, more stable parking, unweigh the rear tire/suspension while parked.

I sourced the OEM center stand through eBay, used, but works great.
Hard part was sourcing the long bolt that secures the center stand to the engine.

Is it just the one bolt that connects it to the engine? Would be very handy!

Not a bolt, a spindle with a small bolt to lock it into the frame and a split pin as insurance.

On the later models it is a little more complicated as it carries the bottom fairing mounting point. Item No. 6 below:

I have one ready to go on my F4i import (no centre stand), but it would appear that the mounting points have been changed in diameter and I need to drill them out.
It is where the item No. 11 fits into now rather than into the centre stand mounting pin!

OK, I’d wondered why the end of the spindle was extended and that makes great sense.

You live and learn :-)
