Default Center Stand

Does anybody know where I can get a center stand for a 2002 F4i? Does it bolt right on, or do I need additional mounting hardware?

Thanks!!

Wouldn't that be great? Unfortunately... I don't think it is possible without modifications and fabrication. Just buy a set of race stands...

I don't know exactly where to get a center stand for our bikes (probably @ a stealership). As for mounting...they just bolt up to the factory location (the place where people mount 600rr swingarms). I believe they are the same as prior models like the F4 & F3, though don't quote me on that. The reason they weren't included on the F4i's is due to weight savings.

Interesting... according to wikipedia "the mainstand holes do still exist" and if you do a search on ebay.co.uk for cbr centre stand (make sure you use the british centre not center) you can find several mounts and stands for sale. Also note that the bike is called a 600F or FX or FS in the UK.

I talked to the brits, they aren't positive it will work. If I get one, I will definitely post pictures.

Cool man, me personally, I'd just rig up a carrier for my 2x4, cheaper, easier, and it weighs less!

That would be awesome if this could actually work! Would there be any chance of the center stand dragging when cornering real low?

See this:

Dont think there was an end verdict for what mods were needed to be done. It's been awhile since i looked over it.

Cornering shouldn't be a problem if the bike is designed for one as an option. If it is an option, the brackets should be incorporated into the frame, but, you probably need the stock headers or there will probably be clearance problems. I now this is true for the 98600f3, cause i've done the research. The F4i's though, I'm just extrapulating.

And due to scarcity, at least for the f3's, the dealer-ship is as cheap as it gets. If you want one in the first place, the dealer KNOWS you are motivated. So he can charge you through the nose. lol
