CCTL Key? Please help

Default CCTL Key? Please help

Hows it goin everyone, I'm in the middle of trying to replace the CCTL. The new one came with this key and I have no idea what to do with it. I've searched but can't find any answers, heres a pic, thanks in advance

AFAIK, the key is suppose to stay in the CCT until the unit is installed..

yep you're correct, thats how it was shipped to me and now I can't install it. anyone know how to make it retract?

If it was shipped that when then send it back and get a non-F'ed with item.

The key is just there to lock the CCT in a retracted state.

IIRC I don't think the key is long enough to rewind it. Instead, use a screwdriver (anti-clockwise I think) in the top to turn it and push the extending finger part in using your hand at the same time. When it is retracted, hold it in as you insert the key into the top. The thin part goes into the slot your screwdriver was turning and the wide part slots into the grooves in the aluminium body, to stop the bottom undoing. If you get it wrong it will just extend fully, so try again.

No need to send it back just because a tab fell out, unless it actually has been tampered with of course.
