Default CCT Needs fixing Help

Hi guys

Im new i dont ride yet but in my decesion on buying an 2002 honda cbr 600 f4i i am hearing one flaw about this bike. I was hearing somewhere that on all the f4i's the cam chain tensioner needs to be changed very often. At 5,000 rpm's you can hear a rattling noise. I hear it may cost 180 at a dealer. I also hear that some people just ignore it and dont get it fixed at all is this a big problem can someone please let me know??? should this steer my decesion away from an f4i??

I ordered an APE tensioner yesterday for 56.50 I think. Pick up a wrench and do it yourself.

Or you don't really need to worry about it at first as long as it don't annoy you.

This is true....
and in theory there is nothing wrong with the MCCTL except for the fact that it will not auto adjust and less experianced mech...MIGHT, MIGHT, over tighten the cam chain...but if you feel you know what you are doing, it will work great for ya.
