Default Cct bolts- help

I have lost one of the cct bolts that hold it on the engine and I’m wondering if it HAS to be that exact bolt and if there HAS to be the sealing washer on it. Tried to order new ones but they are taking months. Thanks in advance!

No it does not have to be the exact same bolt. It's a standard cap head 6x25 bolt that you can get easily at Ace Hardware. Remember to wind the tensioner back in before reinstalling it.

If the threaded hole goes all the way through, then the bolt must be sealed. In absence of the sealing washer, a small dab of silicone sealer on the threads will do.

I just did this job on my '02 F-Sport, defo needs sealing; original bolt has a little washer on it.

Not a fan of silicone, its just a 6mm sealing washer you need to find.

The washer under the bolt that goes into the end of the CCT is a defo replace, its a crush washer and you know it'll leak if you don't :-D
