Break Lines

Spielger makes a great set of lines in braided stainless steel. They have a variety of colours for both fittings and lines as well.

While you won't go wrong with Spiegler, really, any braided line is fine.
This is a fully mature product, nobody makes a bad one.
This is one of the few upgrades, where I recommend price as the top priority.
Other consideration is color, if you're into the potential 'bling'.
Be sure if you that you include new crush-rings, in the upgrade.
As well, any banjo-bolt changes you may need.
Some bikes use a distributer above the calipers,
so they use one line from the MC to the distrbuter and then split to the calipers.
Most kits use 2 lines at the MC, running to each caliper, directly.
This will neccessitate changing from a single to a double banjo-bolt.
Also, 3 instead of 2 crush-rings.

they don't list any master cylinder or reservoir for the f4i, are they universal? they are certainly expensive.
so spielger's are two brake lines looks like you need to ditch the existing setup and go with a new master cylinder plus a reservoir.
fine by me if the existing equipment is faulty but i imagine brakes fade no matter what, and when you upgrade you are just buying an
adjustment to make the pull the same on the lever when it does.
or am i wrong, under alot of braking does the factory cylinder allow you to pull the handle all the way to the throttle?
sorry for hijacking but those brake lines seem incompatible to the f4i, or is that where the double banjo bolt comes into play?

yeah my parts guy just ordered me up some, said they come with everything i need but don't come with clips or mounting brackets, free floating system.
from what i hear the steel braided lines themselves prevent brake fade because your regular rubber lines expand, a good upgrade and spiegler is a good brand.
