Default Brand new tire FREE

So I dropped off my F4I at a shop for a simple back tire install. The next day I get a call saying there was a problem that will work in my favor.

Come to find out, the shop had two red f4i's-same year. Mine and somebody else's. The other guy wanted a front tire put on and mistakingly they installed it on my bike. We're talking a hundred dollare front tire here fellas. The shop said they would eat the cost and give it to me for free. Hey, why not!

question: why didn't the shop simply take the tire off and put my old one back on? The tire isn't :brand new" anymore but they easily could have installed it on another bike and got paid for it.

Most likely they tore you front tire when they took it off and then they put the new one on. Once they realized they put on a new front tire after that there's not really much they can do.

You really think they expected you to bring your bike back to take the tire back off? Sure not. So they just went with it and told you were going to let you have this for free.. Enjoy it! And come back to our business.

If they were truely crooked, and the bikes were exactly the same, they woulda swapped rims.

^I actually put some marks on the lips of the rims, just for that reason. I'd be able to tell, but as far as I know, I'm the only one in the area with my color scheme anyways.

Read the opening of the thread son...they CALLED me up to tell me the great news- i didn't pick the bike up yet.

They probably tore or damaged my front tire.

I've never had two brand new tires on at once and i feel like a better rider already.
