Default brakes?

hello everyone i just got an f4i and realize that when i am pushing the bike it feels like something is binding! could this be the brakes or something else? when i move my gsxr around its so easy and takes hardly any effort to move it unlike the f4i. any info or suggestions.
thanks chris

Well it's normal for them to drag a little bit, but if it's enough that it's holding the bike still while at a slight incline then something is sticking, possibly a caliper or bent rotor (not centered in the caliper), or other problems like wheel bearings. Also, are you pushing it in neutral, or in gear with the clutch pulled in? There will be extra drag in gear with the clutch in than in neutral

i move it around in neutral. if isit on the bike for example and im trying to back it up, it seems harder to move it but if i move the gsxr i can pretty much push it once and it will roll pretty easily, its hard to explain.

Hmmm... I don't know what to tell you other than to put the front and rear up on stands and spin the wheels, see how much drag they have. Of course the rear will have some resistance due to being attached to the rest of the drivetrain, but should still spin rather easily, and the front should spin freely with only a small amount of brake drag... should only hear a light scratching sound. It might just be a little heavier bike than the Gix, who knows

front wheel shouldn't turn more than 1.5 to 2x...and you will always hear the pads dragging the rotors.

you can always unmount the calipers and remove the pads. Then apply the brakes all the way to push the pistons out and clean the side of the pistons. Wont take u more than an hour.
